As a Virtual Assistant, we often have to share huge files, with clients or team mates that work with us on projects. Being equipped with the right sharing tools is crucial for our business. There are a lot of sharing tools that you can find online however there is only one fave tool that I use with my colleagues and clients >> Dropbox Dropbox was first introduced to be even before they were officially launched online by a client. Since then me and my team have been using it ever since. The coolest thing about dropbox is that it is quick to install and quick to access! It works just like your "My Documents" in your computer. You can easily drag and drop files into folders and share folders with anyone or everyone :)
Now we don't have to worry about missing files, or deleted files. Dropbox act as an online back-up and can store files upto 2GB!. You can even expand it by referring dropbox to your friends and earn 1 GB Free space for referrals!

Virtual assistance industry is one of the most competitive industries nowadays. If you search for a virtual assistant in Google, you will get 1,170,000 results. However, there is a silent bidding war that is happening between offshore and onshore Virtual Assistants. Some US based VA's feel that offshore virtual assistants who offers lower rates are less competent to become a top quality Virtual Assistant.
Being an offshore virtual assistant myself, I disagree with this idea. In my own opinion, this is a subtle way of discriminating offshore virtual assistants just because we are located in a much less developed country. However, skills primarily doesn't rely nor come from location, or rates. Offshore VA's like us, are fortunate to be located in the Philippines where we have lower cost of living compared to the US or other 1st class countries. In our country $300 is equivalent to 15,000 Philippine Pesos already. This amount is enough for an average single employee.
Today, I received an email from John, sharing a great post from a top Internet Marketer, John Reese who found joy working with Filipinos. "The people here are very nice and hard-working. Their school system is taught in English, so they can read, write, and speak English really well. Arguably better than any other country where English is not the first language."
He eloquently described the sad and honest truth about the Philippine economy yet he also best described the advantages of working with Filipinos.
